Alabama State Parks Amendment Special Issue

A big Thank You to our friend Randy Owen of the legendary music band Alabama for supporting a "Yes" vote, next week, May 24th on the State Parks Amendment. Watch the video to learn how you too can help support the Alabama State Parks.

As we close in on the final days leading up to the May 24th primary elections, we wanted to make you aware of a very important constitutional amendment that will be on the upcoming primary ballot. We need your help getting the word out. The Alabama State Parks Amendment will be the only local or state amendment on the ballot statewide — so it will appear as Amendment 1 at the very end of the ballot after all candidates are listed. This amendment, if approved by those who vote in the upcoming primary, will provide a much needed capitol infusion to our Alabama State Parks System. If approved by voters, the State Parks Amendment would authorize the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds of the State of Alabama of up to $85,000,000 to provide a wide array of improvements, renovations, construction, maintenance, additions, expansions and much more at many of our state parks. In these final days leading up to the vote we also need your help to share the message on why it is important to vote YES on the State Parks Amendment on May 24th.

Use these resources below to help inform our supporters.

No effort is too small in helping us spread the word and getting the facts out about the State Parks Amendment and how positive its passage would be for all of our state parks across Alabama. Please talk to your family members, your church community and friends, and anyone else in your network that loves and appreciates all our state parks offer to the people of our state.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), and our State Parks System. A YES vote on May 24th in support of the State Parks Amendment will be a huge win for the people of Alabama for generations to come.
