BC Transit and MoveUP Ratify Agreement

The agreement reached is consistent with the BC Government’s Shared Recovery Mandate. The agreement provides for wage increases of a flat rate of $0.25 per hour and a 3.24% General Wage Increase (GWI) in Year 1, an initial 5.5% GWI which was increased to the maximum of 6.75% when the 1.25% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) MOU was triggered in Year 2, and a minimum of 2.0% and up to a maximum of 3.0%, subject to the COLA MOU in Year 3.The renewed agreement also reflects the mutual interest of the Union and BC Transit and our strategic plans and operational initiatives.

MoveUP represents approximately 213 administrative employees in various departments in the Victoria Regional Transit System.

BC Transit thanks MoveUP Local 378 for a collaborative bargaining process. We’d also like to thank our employees for continuing to provide safe and reliable public transit for our customers.

The previous labour agreement expired on March 31, 2022. The terms of the new agreement are from April 1, 2022 through to March 31, 2025.
